The Hotel de l'Europe offers 36 rooms which are designed to provide you with the comfort and equipped with basic amenities. All rooms are soundproofed in order to provide a quite and calm environment amidst the busy schedules of city life. This hotel was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was bigger than most of the other places we stayed. There is a lift which is good (we had to carry our bags up 8 flights of stairs at another hotel, that after having climbed up the Eiffel tower!). This hotel is a great place to stay if you want a bargain near either Gare du Nord or Est. There are cheaper places out there, but the reviews get scary. This place is still pretty cheap (for Paris) but you will have no worries. It's a commercial area, lots of shops and restaurants nearby and overall a pretty safe place if you use your common sense. It's also fun to hear the owners speaking: english, german and japanese with the different costumer
